Our high-pressure culture can influence individuals to create unrealistic self-expectations that often result in feelings of shame and inadequacy. This type of self-judgment can be particularly problematic amongst survivors of trauma and other painful unresolved life experiences, such as addiction. In this group, members practice self-compassion techniques in order to effectively manage stress and difficult emotions, as well as, improve relationships and create inner peace.
