Postdoctoral Fellows in Psychology for the 2024-25 academic year

We are accepting applications for Postdoctoral Fellows in Psychology for the 2024-25 academic year. The fellowship program offers advanced training in individual, family, couples, and group psychotherapy and provides supervision, consultation, and didactics related to many therapy modalities including CBT, DBT, ACT, and psychodynamic treatment. Fellows at MTC have the opportunity to immerse themselves in interdisciplinary teamwork and specialized patient populations (especially trauma, substance use, and personality disorders) in our intensive outpatient (IOP) and partial hospital (PHP) programmatic levels of care, while also honing the skills of a private practice therapist in our standard outpatient clinic. The postdoctoral fellowship MTC is an APPIC Member program and prepares trainees for licensure in the state of California.

Psychologist Specializing in Trauma

Our clinicians have the opportunity to work in both our intensive programs and outpatient levels of care, seeing individuals, couples, or families, and facilitating groups.   • Provide therapy sessions both in-person and online (individual, family, and groups)

    Maintain an active license to practice therapy in the state of California and supervise trainees

  • Fully licensed as a clinical psychologist, MFT, LPCC, or psychiatric social worker in the state of California Trained and experienced in performing Family and Couples Therapy in a clinical setting.

    1-3 years of professional experience in a mental health clinic preferred

    Value working in a collaborative, supportive, multidisciplinary team setting of psychiatrists, psychologists, neuropsychologists, and therapists with a broad range of clinical specializations

    Interested in varied clinical work including general outpatient and program-based care, short and long-term individual therapy, family therapy, and group therapy along with clinical supervision

Assistant Clinical Director

We are looking for a highly motivated clinical psychologist for a position combining clinical work with an administrative role in our clinic and its outpatient programs. The ideal candidate for this position would be a strong clinician able to provide excellent individual, family, and group therapy in a supportive, comprehensive, private, multidisciplinary, psychiatric clinic, who is also interested in developing management and leadership skills.

  • Maintain an appropriate caseload of individual and family therapy cases

    Facilitate group therapies as needed

    Attend staff clinical meetings
    Manage Intensive Outpatient Program as primary administrative role as Assistant Clinical Director

    Assist the Clinical Director in the overall management and supervision of clinical staff

    Assist the Training Director in the supervision of postdoctoral fellows and interns

    Weekly clinical, training, and administrative duties.

    Maintain an active license to practice therapy in the state of California and supervise trainees

Resident Assistant

Mind Therapy Clinic is looking for highly motivated individuals to be residential assistants at our supportive, psychiatric residence. Applicants may be undergraduate psychology or social work students preparing for graduate school or graduate students in the behavioral health field looking for additional experience. Experienced LVNs, CADACs, and similar with experience as residential counselors, mental health support staff, and nurses in residential treatment centers and hospitals are also encouraged to apply. Resident assistants provide support to residents who are receiving outpatient psychiatric during the daytime.  RAs receive regular supervision and comprehensive training in managing psychiatric positions.  This is a valuable position for anyone planning on pursuing a career in mental health.
