Emotions and Compulsions therapy is based on Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy/SMART Recovery™ , a successful nationwide abstinence-based self-help program for individuals who want to address addictive behaviors. This is an action-oriented psychotherapy that teaches individuals to identify, challenge and replace their self-defeating thoughts and beliefs with healthier thoughts that promote emotional well-being and goal achievement.  Recovery group members help each other to examine their behaviors, prevent relapse and address habit-related personal problems.
